How do reproductive healthcare clinics respond to anti-abortion protests? How do anti-abortion protests and counter-organizing strategies affect the quality of patient experiences? Samyu aims to use a variety of methods and data sources in her work to document the efficacy of the strategies employed by clinic escort program organizers. She hopes to focus on the experiences of low-income patients of color in the American South, especially those who live in states with restricted access to abortion.

As a woman of color raised in South Carolina, she is passionate about centering Southern communities of color in her research and uplifting the work of those who organize against health inequity.
