FOCUS
Jessica is interested in changing the opportunity structure surrounding children living in poverty in service of equalizing those opportunities and eliminating the correlation between socioeconomic status and life outcomes. Her research uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to explore the intertwining influences of child health and academic achievement in the life course. Ultimately, Jessica hopes that her research will inform the development of cross-sector policies and practices that address the root causes of disparities in both academic and health outcomes.
