FOCUS
Angel’s focus revolves around community involvement for improved civic engagement within marginalized regions in California. At times, low-income neighborhoods may have the people to enact change; however, they may not always have the tools for civic engagement. Angel’s research explores the dynamics of Hispanic and African-American cultures to produce generalizable results amongst different regions in America. Ultimately, Angel seeks to break the poverty cycle through emphasizing enabling factors for success and improving upon the mitigating variables that keep individuals from reaching life satisfaction.
