FOCUS
Christian’s research interests lie at the intersection of nutrition, epidemiology, statistics, and computer science. Harnessing tools from each of those fields, Christian examines the relationships between dietary factors and cancer-relevant outcomes in traditionally understudied cancer types (e.g., head and neck cancers). Christian’s interests also extend to how a cancer diagnosis impacts patients financially. Specifically, he is interested in delineating the prevalence of food insecurity in the cancer patient population, and how this characteristic predicts prognostically-relevant outcomes.

MORE ABOUT CHRISTIAN
Christian moved to the Washington, D.C., metropolitan region after living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during his early childhood. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2015.
