Meredith Tierney-Beed is the Communications Associate for the Health Policy Research Scholars (HPRS) program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, responsible for developing strategic communications that amplify program impact and scholar’s research. Before joining HPRS, Meredith led the marketing efforts for new research centers and initiatives at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, focusing on bridging the gap between academic research and public impact. Meredith’s background includes roles with AmeriCorps, YWCA Southern Arizona, and freelance work in EdTech and climate action advocacy, all with a strong emphasis on storytelling and outreach. Meredith’s global perspective, shaped by a childhood in eight countries, fuels their ambition to integrate socially conscious leadership into business for meaningful, human-centric change. Meredith holds a BA in Sociology, Anthropology, and Spanish from Earlham College. They are currently pursuing an MBA at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, where they are a Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) fellow.
