FOCUS
Adrian’s research interest focuses on the psychobiological mechanisms linking social influences on health outcomes. He is particularly interested in elucidating how social factors (e.g., socioeconomic position, interpersonal relationships, stigma, discrimination) result in differences in everyday social interactions and experiences translating into biological changes that impact mental and physical health.

MORE ABOUT ADRIAN
Adrian believes it is essential to understand how psychosocial factors lead to greater biological risk for poor health outcomes. He hopes research like his and other committed scholars focused on social disparities and human health can lay the foundation for intervention and health policy development toward healthier, more equitable communities.
